Thanks to the exceptional quality of the food and high service standards, the Happy Bar & Grill brand is the strongest and the largest of its class in Bulgaria. Except for Happy, the company establishes and runs rich portfolio of other brands in the hospitality industry as Captain Cook, SASA, BAR-B-Q-King, Staro selo, Express Café, Industrial Catering, etc.

The challenge

Managing several legal entities, manufacturing processes as well as more than 30 restaurants requires maximum automatisation and full control over the processes in real time. The dynamics of the business of Happy demands for ERP system for management and control, which will ease adding new business entities and still they will follow the accepted comany business processes.

The solution

The solution is based on ERP system Deltek Maconomy,which includes all the legal entities of the joint venture and all the aspects of their business activities. WEB Maconomy Portal is launched, where all restaurants enter their costs for services and materials and register requests for products and goods that are needed. The interface developed for integration with the POS systems automates the process of registering the sales and intercompany requests. The system encomprises as well the manufacturing of items in the central kitchen, follow serial numbers,  lots and expiration dates according to HACCP regulations.

Deltek Maconomy empowers Happy to introduce general standards and business processes for all of its restaurants. There is strict control over the costs as well as software tools for lot traceability according to the standards in the food industry.
